Time Marches On!
This photo shows Royal Caribbean's "Adventure of the Seas"
next to the former Princess Cruise Line "Pacific Princess" (also known as "The Love Boat").
It is amazing that this famous ship was basically responsible for kick-starting the cruise industry into high gear. It appeared to be a huge vessel on the long running television show but now, it is small in comparison to other ships. Even the mighty Titanic would be dewarfed by the Mega Ships that sail today!
Unfortunately, as you can see, after 30+ years of service, the little "Love Boat" has out lived it's usefulness due to competition and was sold in November 2002. In April 2003, it was and replaced by a former Renasance R3 ship and named the new "Pacific Princess" that currently sails to Tahiti.
